We are currently seeking an experienced Backend Developer with 3- 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team and contribute to our robust projects, enhancing the backend infrastructure with their expertise and innovative approaches.
Job Description
As a Backend Developer, you will be instrumental in the development and maintenance of our backend services. You will work closely with a team of talented developers to create high-quality, scalable, and resilient distributed systems. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with a strong background in backend technologies and a passion for pushing the envelope in technology.
Responsibilites
• Develop and maintain scalable and robust backend services using NodeJS and JavaScript,
including familiarity with various JavaScript libraries such as NextJS.
• Additional knowledge of Python is considered a plus.
• Design and manage database schemas and interactions using SQL databases like MySQL,
PostgreSQL, and MariaDB, as well as NoSQL databases including MongoDB and Cassandra.
• Implement caching solutions with Redis to enhance application performance.
• Configure and maintain web servers, including Nginx, Apache, and HaProxy.
• Utilize Visual Studio Code for coding and ensure best practices are followed.
• Proficiently use Git/Github for version control, including commits, pull requests, and
collaborative coding practices.
• Deploy and manage applications and services on cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure,
with a strong understanding of microservices architecture.
• Drive automation in code deployments across development, QA, and production environments.
• Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and maintain code
security standards.
• Develop end-to-end API solutions and ensure seamless application/API deployment using
Docker and Docker-Compose.
• Prefer the use of Visual Studio Code for development.
• Proficiently use Git/Github for version control, including commits, pull requests, and
collaborative coding practices.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Backend Developer with strong expertise in NodeJS and JavaScript.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL database management.
• Solid experience with web server technology and cloud services (AWS/Azure).
• Strong knowledge of API development and management.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and code security practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Salary
NGN 300,000 to NGN 500,000 per month, based on experience and qualifications.
